The ecosystem EarnBill connects to
As a convergent billing system, EarnBill sits at the center of your operations; exchanging data with six interconnected subsystems that span network infrastructure, front-office, revenue operations, omnichannel communications, logistics, and payments.
EarnBill and AppDirect: brand and builder, aligned.
AppDirect, a global commerce leader, is the company behind the renowned jBilling platform. As AppDirect's trusted Strategic Alliance and Engineering Partner, EarnBill serves as the technical driving force behind the platform's ongoing evolution. For over 13 years, EarnBill engineers have managed the core platform, shipped every release, and run the critical deployments that global enterprises rely on daily. This alliance ensures that clients work directly with the original architects who write the code and run the billing systems, completely eliminating the need for middlemen or third-party vendors. EarnBill is far more than a systems integrator; they are the core designers behind the modernized EarnBill platform. EarnBill is jBilling++.
Understanding the Alliance
The proven jBilling platform, fully owned by AppDirect, serves as the robust engine underlying EarnBill's core rating, charging, and invoicing systems. Rather than acting as a reseller of a third-party product, EarnBill operates as the premier engineering partner with the deepest jBilling deployment track record in the world. By taking this industry-leading foundation and significantly enhancing it, EarnBill delivers a highly evolved solution. This unique alliance ensures that clients receive the platform's original, unmatched engineering expertise applied directly to their specific deployment.

What technology partners gain from EarnBill
Whether you are a payment processor, a cloud platform, or a CRM provider, integrating with EarnBill opens access to 20+ enterprise deployments across billing-intensive verticals where your platform can add direct value.
REST API Access
EarnBill exposes REST API endpoints covering subscribers, products, invoices, payments, CDR ingestion, and reporting. Full OpenAPI specification with client SDKs in multiple languages. Free sandbox access for development and testing.
Co-sell Programme
Certified technology partners are listed in the EarnBill Integration Registry and introduced to active customer deployments where your platform is relevant. Joint go-to-market support including co-authored content and case studies.
10-Country Market Access
EarnBill's active deployments span 10 countries across North America, South Asia, Africa, and Europe. Technology partners gain co-sell exposure across a genuinely international billing ecosystem; not a single-region customer base.
Sandbox & Certification
A dedicated sandbox environment mirrors the production billing stack. Partners complete technical certification before going live; ensuring integrations are stable, performant, and aligned to EarnBill's API versioning lifecycle.
Revenue Share Eligibility
Qualifying integrations in the payments and tax categories are eligible for a revenue share arrangement where EarnBill's platform processes volume through your infrastructure. Contact us for the commercial framework applicable to your integration category.
Engineering Support
Partner integrations are built with support from EarnBill's engineering team. You are not building against documentation alone; you have a named integration engineer available throughout your build and certification phases.
Connect EarnBill to everything you already run
EarnBill is a convergent billing core built to exchange data with everything around it. Across payments, CRM, tax, network mediation and marketplace systems, our engineers build and certify each integration against real production environments, not a generic connector catalogue.
Payments & collections
Card, direct debit and bank transfers worldwide.
CRM & front-office
Sync customer accounts and subscriptions, bi-directionally.
Tax & compliance
Real-time, multi-jurisdiction tax calculation and filing.
Network & mediation
Ingest usage straight from the network.
Marketplace systems
List, sell and bill through marketplace and channel platforms.
Don't see your system? That is the point.
If a platform exposes an API, EarnBill integrates with it. Our engineering team builds and certifies each integration against your actual environment, so you are never limited to a fixed catalogue.
Questions before you apply
What technology partners need to know before starting their integration journey with EarnBill.
What types of technology partnerships does EarnBill accept?
EarnBill accepts integration partnerships across four primary categories: payment processing (gateways and direct bank methods), cloud infrastructure (metering and marketplace billing), CRM and ERP systems (subscriber and financial data sync), and tax compliance engines (real-time calculation and filing). We also consider network infrastructure integrations (RADIUS, AAA, network policy systems) and document workflow platforms. If your technology is used by telecoms, ISPs, cloud companies, or government utilities, it is likely a strong fit.
How long does it take to complete integration and certification?
Most partner integrations complete in 4–10 weeks from sandbox access to certification. Simple REST API integrations (read-only data sync) typically complete in 2–4 weeks. Complex integrations involving CDR ingestion, real-time webhook handling, or multi-step payment flows take 6–10 weeks. Timeline depends primarily on your engineering team's availability, not on EarnBill's review process. We aim to turn around certification reviews within 5 business days of submission.
Is there a cost to become a technology partner?
No. Sandbox access, API documentation, integration engineering support, and Integration Registry listing are all provided at no cost to certified technology partners. Revenue share arrangements, where applicable, work in the partner's favour: EarnBill shares a portion of revenue generated through your platform, not the other way around. The partner programme is designed to be cost-neutral for technology companies integrating with EarnBill.
What does the EarnBill sandbox environment include?
The sandbox is a full-stack replica of the EarnBill production environment, including the jBilling rating engine, CDR mediation layer, product catalogue, invoice generation, payment gateway connectors, and reporting APIs. It is seeded with representative sample data across telecom, ISP, and SaaS billing scenarios. Sandbox access is persistent for the duration of your partnership and can be used for ongoing regression testing after your integration goes live.
How does the co-sell programme work?
Once certified and listed in the Integration Registry, EarnBill's engineering team recommends your platform to relevant customer deployments during the discovery and assessment phase. This is not a paid referral model. It is a genuine recommendation based on technical fit. For qualifying integration categories (primarily payments and tax), we also have a formal co-sell programme where we jointly pursue enterprise deals in shared verticals, with commercial arrangements structured deal by deal. Contact us to discuss co-sell eligibility for your specific integration.
What API standards and authentication does EarnBill use?
EarnBill exposes 150+ REST API endpoints with JSON request/response bodies. Authentication uses API key + JWT bearer token with scoped permissions per integration. Webhooks use HMAC-SHA256 signatures for payload verification. The API follows semantic versioning and maintains backward compatibility within major versions. Full OpenAPI 3.0 specification is available immediately upon partner application approval. Rate limits are configured per partner integration and scaled to production volumes during certification.
